Turkish defense giant Aselsan has unveiled a domestically developed family of infrared detectors designed for use in a range of strategic defense platforms, including surveillance systems, missile seekers and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Aselsan said its detector family was developed in both cooled and uncooled versions to meet different operational requirements. Its microelectronics capabilities have enabled the development of advanced electro-optical solutions for national defense projects, the company added.

The newly developed detectors are expected to improve the performance of electro-optical systems used in several platforms, particularly in conditions where visibility is limited, such as nighttime operations, fog, smoke and dust.
