I’ve been looking forward to “The End of Oak Street” ever since it was announced. Not only does it look like pure sci-fi goodness, but it also has a strong cast and a fascinating premise involving some seriously terrifying dinosaurs. However, after watching the first trailer, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this film could be connected to something much bigger: “Cloverfield.”Created by Bad Robot, “Cloverfield” is the mystery-driven sci-fi franchise that began with the 2008 found-footage monster movie, before expanding with “10 Cloverfield Lane” and “The Cloverfield Paradox.” It’s now been several years since we last visited the universe, and fans like me have been eager to see where the franchise could go next. That’s why I was already excited for “The End of Oak Street.” But after digging deeper into the film’s details, I started noticing some surprisingly familiar connections.Nothing has been officially confirmed, and “The End of Oak Street” may still be its own standalone sci-fi adventure. However, after uncovering these seven clues, I’m genuinely shocked by just how closely it appears to connect with the “Cloverfield” universe.
