Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to statements by IRGC Commander Ahmad Vahidi, asserted that the Islamic Republic has openly declared its intention to pursue its nuclear program, reiterating that Israel, “with or without an agreement,” will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Speaking on August 5, Netanyahu cited Vahidi’s comments, stating: “Today, we heard IRGC Commander Vahidi explicitly announce the Islamic Republic’s intention to continue developing nuclear weapons and state that they will press forward with this program.”
He added: “As Prime Minister of Israel, I am determined to prevent the Islamic Republic from obtaining nuclear weapons.”
The Israeli Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump, remarking: “President Trump is a great friend of ours and the greatest friend we have ever had in the White House. The United States is our great ally, and we deeply appreciate our joint efforts with America against Iran’s nuclear ambitions.”
Netanyahu went on to emphasize: “I want to make this clear: Israel’s existence is non-negotiable. With or without an agreement, I and all of us are determined to do whatever it takes to guarantee our security and our future.”
