Salihli’s Adala Canyon gains popularity among eco-tourists

MANİSA

This year’s rainfall and the controlled release of water from Demirköprü Dam have restored the flow through the canyon.

Tucked away in the western province of Manisa’s Salihli district, Adala Canyon has become a magnet for nature lovers seeking a serene outdoor escape.

The canyon was formed around 12,000 years ago when lava flowing from the Kaplan Divlit volcanic cone was gradually eroded by the Gediz River. It stretches between Demirköprü Dam and the Adala neighborhood of Salihli.
