If there’s one thing the BBC knows how to do, it’s make us laugh. Over the decades, it’s been home to some of our best-loved and most revered comedies, from Absolutely Fabulous to Fawlty Towers and The Royle Family.

But away from the well-known, there are plenty of sketch shows and sitcoms that haven’t got the love and attention they deserve. Time to bring them out of the shadows and into the limelight of comedy available on iPlayer, I say.
