ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Emergency Operations Center placed several parts of the city under rainfall advisories early Thursday after hazard sensors recorded moderate to heavy rainfall that could trigger flooding in low-lying communities.
As of 5:45 a.m., the city’s hazard monitoring system recorded 30 millimeters of rainfall at the Mandurriao Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) station, prompting the issuance of a Red Advisory, the highest rainfall alert in the latest advisory.

Nine monitoring stations were placed under Orange Advisory, including Central Philippine University (28 mm), West Visayas State University (27 mm), Jaro Health Center (25.5 mm), SM Iloilo (21 mm), Sta. Cruz Barangay Health Station (20.5 mm), San Isidro Jaro Barangay Health Station (18 mm), Hibao-an Norte (16 mm), Katilingban Barangay Health Station (15.5 mm), and Balabago (15 mm).
