Nearly 700 industrial facilities in Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region have been damaged by continuous Russian shelling, with about 300 of them sustaining repeated damage.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Every strike is a direct blow to businesses, people, and our region's economy. Nearly 700 industrial facilities have been damaged in the region, and almost 300 have been hit more than once," Fedorov said.
Despite the extremely challenging conditions, businesses in the Zaporizhzhia region have paid more than UAH 6.2 billion in taxes since the beginning of 2026, exceeding last year's figure, he added.
Fedorov said the region is already benefiting from state-backed concessional loan programs, grant programs for launching and expanding businesses, and compensation mechanisms.
