The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, sacked the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo State, Mr Timehin Adeleye, as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the federal constituency and declared Abdugani Arobo as the candidate of the party.
Adeleye’s name was included among the names on the list of candidates sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission by the National Working Committee of the APC.
Not satisfied with the NWC’s decision, many APC members and chieftains in the state protested against the decision.
Arobo is one of the aggrieved aspirants who challenged the NWC’s decision at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The defendants in the suit are the APC and INEC.
