Prime Minister Mark Carney has declined to rule out ever having commuter jets fly into Billy Bishop airport, but said his government is focused on improving Toronto’s transport network in other ways — including an expansion at Pearson airport and construction of the Alto high speed rail line.
Appearing Wednesday in Scarborough, Carney spoke for the first time about his government’s decision to scuttle Premier Doug Ford’s dream of an expanded airport on the waterfront.
