Former neo-Nazi Joshua Bonehill-Paine has withdrawn as a Conservative council candidate in Somerset, amid a growing row over his past.
He was jailed in 2016 after being found guilty of racially aggravated harassment against a Jewish former MP, Luciana Berger.
The Tory leader Kemi Badenoch initially defended his candidacy saying Mr Bonehill-Paine had turned his life around since then – and would be taking on a new role as an advisor on the radicalisation of young men.
