MANILA, Philippines — The Social Security System (SSS) has increased its investment in Century Properties Group Inc. (CPG), raising its ownership stake to nearly 10 percent in a move that the listed property developer said reflects confidence in its long-term growth prospects and shareholder returns.

In a disclosure to the local bourse on Wednesday, the real estate firm said the state-run pension fund increased its ownership interest in the company to about 9.9 percent, from approximately 6.4 percent previously.
