Woodside Energy has been Australia’s premier oil and gas producer for several years now.

Since 2020, though, the Perth-based firm has been exploring more sustainable forms of energy in an attempt to diversify its business somewhat.

Those years of investments are now beginning to bear fruit.

The company announced this week that its first-ever green hydrogen plant is on track to be opened later this year.

The facility, known as the Hydrogen Refueller, is part of Woodside’s wider H2Perth project.
