Dwyane Wade is shooting his shot in the THC game.
For his first play, the former NBA star has teamed with the pioneering social tonic brand Cann to launch a golf-inspired Half and Half tea that blends bergamot lemonade and yerba mate with magnesium, electrolytes, L-theanine and three milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol. The new beverage is also available in THC-free form, joining Cann’s current “0MG,” or “OMG,” menu alongside Blood Orange Cardamom and Lemon Lavender.
Dwyane Wade for Drink Cann’s new Half and Half flavor.
An early investor in the brand, Wade is collaborating on a flavor for the first time, and given where he’s at in his life — on the course, not the court — a golf-inspired nonalcoholic cocktail made the most sense. “We didn’t have to reinvent the wheel on this,” Wade told WWD in an exclusive interview. “It’s already a very popular drink out here, made by a golfer, and we just kind of played off that nostalgia. It was also a way to introduce something without the bubbles. We thought it’d be great to introduce something that had history and was new for Cann as well.”
