Mexican digital creator César Gastélum, popularly known as "Cesarín" or "Compasexor," was shot dead on Tuesday evening, August 4, during a livestream in Culiacán, Sinaloa.

The shooting happened at about 8.15 pm local time outside a KFC restaurant in the busy Tres Ríos commercial district.

In a video seen by TNX Africa, Gastélum, who had nearly 600,000 followers on TikTok, was taking part in a delivery driver-themed content challenge alongside fellow creator Alejandro Fierro.

The pair, dressed in orange courier jackets and reflective vests to resemble food delivery riders, were streaming live on Fierro's Kick channel when two men wearing full-face helmets approached them on a motorcycle.
