Eli Lilly $LLY reported second-quarter revenue of $23.0 billion on Wednesday, a 48% increase from a year earlier, and lifted its full-year revenue target to a range of $85 billion to $87 billion, compared with the prior forecast of $82 billion to $85 billion.
Demand for diabetes drug Mounjaro and weight loss drug Zepbound drove the results. Mounjaro revenue rose 91% to $9.9 billion for the quarter, including $4.8 billion in U.S. sales and $5.2 billion internationally. Zepbound generated $4.9 billion in U.S. revenue, a 44% year-over-year gain, with strong prescription demand more than making up for a decline in net prices.
