RIYADH — Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a global investment hub under Vision 2030, climbing to 13th place among the world's largest recipients of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2025 after attracting SR136 billion in inbound FDI.The Kingdom has recorded a series of investment milestones under Vision 2030, including rising foreign investment inflows, an improved global ranking, and growing international investor confidence.According to the latest UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) World Investment Report, Saudi Arabia rose from 17th place in 2024, while net FDI inflows increased 53 percent to SR122 billion in 2025 from approximately SR80 billion the previous year.

FDI stock also grew 13 percent to approximately SR1.1 trillion by the end of 2025, marking an increase of around 120 percent compared with 2017, while more than 700 international companies established regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, supporting industrial development, research, innovation, and broader economic growth. The gains come as Saudi Arabia advances Vision 2030, launched in 2016 and now entering its final implementation phase (2026–2030), focused on aligning strategic and financial planning while ensuring sustainable long-term growth.A key pillar of the transformation is the National Investment Strategy, launched in 2021 to expand investment opportunities and attract foreign capital. The strategy aims to raise the private sector's contribution to GDP to 65 percent, increase FDI to 5.7 percent of GDP, and boost non-oil exports to 50 percent of non-oil GDP.
