As Nigeria’s fintech industry matures, conversations are shifting away from rapid user acquisition towards a more sustainable question: how do fintech companies build products that customers continue to use long after signing up?

That was one of the recurring themes at Fintech Forum 2026, where digital payments platform Nosh participated as a Platinum Sponsor. Through a keynote presentation and a panel discussion, the company shared its perspective on product design, customer retention, and the role of trust in building long-term growth.

Representing Nosh at the event were Tosin Akintibu, Product Manager, who delivered a keynote on simplifying digital spending, and Mosadoluwa Hezekiah, Marketing Manager, who joined industry leaders for a discussion on growth strategies in Nigeria’s evolving fintech landscape.

Designing products around everyday spending

In her keynote session, Akintibu argued that fintech products should focus less on expanding feature lists and more on reducing friction for users.
