Real Madrid are close to reaching an agreement with RB Leipzig for the signing of Yan Diomande following lengthy negotiations.Diomande, 19, has joined Leipzig on their pre-season training camp in Austria ahead of his transfer to Madrid being ratified by the German club’s board.Once the deal has been finalised, the Ivory Coast international will be given permission to travel to Madrid to undergo a medical.The Athletic reported on July 26 Madrid had been expected to reach an agreement to sign Diomande, following Paris Saint-Germain’s withdrawal from negotiations.The Spanish side had a bid rejected before returning with an improved offer worth €120million, which includes a €100m fixed fee.Diomande returned to training at Leipzig in June following his World Cup campaign with Ivory Coast but did not travel to the club’s pre-season training camp in Austria on Saturday as Leipzig continued to negotiate with Madrid over his transfer.

Leipzig have been holding out for a fee closer to €130m for the winger.
