ALBAWABA - U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on Tuesday that they have to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or he will launch a big attack on Tehran, he said in an interview with reporters.Trump said, "The Strait is going to be open very soon — or they're gonna hit very hard, and then the Strait is going to be open."American officials said they are optimistic that a peace deal with Iran is happening soon and would reopen the Strait of Hormuz "today or tomorrow".U.S. State Secretary Marco Rubio noted progress in talks with Iran and Oman about a new route in the critical waterway. However, he said no final agreement was yet to be reached.On the other hand, Iran denied having talks with Washington, saying the only talks they are conducting are with Oman.Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told Iran state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), "Iran is working with Oman to develop the necessary mechanisms for future arrangements governing the management of maritime traffic through this strategic waterway."It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday afternoon, the DCAS database confirmed the killing of 18 American troops and the injury of 687 others in the Iran war that started when Washington and Tel Aviv launched a preemptive attack on Tehran on February 28.
