The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested two suspects allegedly linked to the abduction of three newly passed-out military recruits in Zamfara State, with one of the suspects reportedly making useful disclosures that could aid ongoing investigations into the July 2026 kidnapping.
The Command disclosed that the suspects were apprehended during a targeted intelligence-led operation carried out on August 1, 2026, as security agencies intensify efforts to dismantle criminal networks responsible for attacks and abductions in the North-West.

The suspects were identified as Abubakar Mallan Abubakar, a resident of Gargam Village, Bagega, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State, and Usman Muhammadu, from Ajera, Ilorin in Kwara State.
