Till this present day the Nigeria Police Force has maintained a studied silence regarding the disciplinary fate of the officers, Supol Olamilekan and Inspector Kalu and others who perpetrated that brazen act of extortion.

In the third week of August 2025, I, together with Adekunle Adeyemi Taofeek, representing the TakeItBack Movement, recovered the sum of ₦5.1 million from the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex at Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, for a young Nigerian, Mr Onyeka Nwobodi, who had been unlawfully stripped of his hard-earned savings by officers of that formation; the recovery came after the young man had been accosted, removed under duress, and compelled to part with money intended for his legitimate business aspiration through transfers engineered into private accounts.

We pursued the matter with quiet determination until the funds were traced to Saheed Adetunji (Access Bank, 0072995973) and Ajonuma Esther Chinagorom (Moniepoint, 8161142516); in the course of that process we encountered the then Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Alagbon Annex, DIG Margaret Ochalla, as well as the Commissioner of Police, Bose Akinyemi (RTD), who at the material time headed the X-Squad of the formation.
