Four men have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 50-year-old Matome Molema, who was fatally shot at a Limpopo tavern in July 2024.

Four men, including two Zimbabwean nationals, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Matome Molema, 50, who was fatally shot at a tavern in Mamaolo Village under the Lebowakgomo policing area on July 7, 2024.

The Polokwane High Court sentenced Bongani Nkuna, 34, Bright Ncube, 23, Brian Ncube, 23, and Tumelo Maloma, 32, on Monday, August 3.

The men were convicted of killing Molema while he was at the tavern before fleeing the scene in a white Volkswagen Jetta.

Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the accused, who were armed with two pistols, attacked and fatally shot the victim before escaping.
