NewsUS NewsDonald TrumpThe 38-year-old man has been arrested after he was spotted taking pictures at the golf course just days before the US President was due to host a fundraiser there00:43, 05 Aug 2026A 'heavily armed' man was arrested at Donald Trump's California golf course days before the President was due to host a fundraiser there.Jeanine John Taele, 38, was detained by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies after being spotted taking pictures and assessing security activities at the golf course on Sunday at around 3.30pm.On Tuesday, Trump will host a Republican National Committee fundraising dinner the golf club in the Rancho Palos Verdes suburb.Police found a loaded magazine in Taele's pocket, the LA Times reported.When searching his vehicle in the car park they also discovered a a loaded pistol and further ammunition.Following a search at his property in Downey, California on Monday police also found further weapons and ammunition, including a .45 caliber pistol, body armour and high-capacity magazines.The force added they also found several notebooks with 'concerning statements' in as well as two radio devices.Taele was arrested under suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm and possession of illegal ammunition, including hollow point bullets.Article continues belowPolice are carrying out an investigation and have claimed there is 'no credible threat to our communities.'The 38-year-old is also under investigation in connection with a robbery in nearby El Segundo.The Mirror have reached out to the White House for comment.Choose Daily Mirror as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.‌Republican National CommitteeDonald TrumpCar parksPolitics
