Former “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star Sidney Starr, whose legal name is Sidney Favors, has denied allegations of child sex abuse of a victim under the age of 16 after being taken into custody Sunday.“Allegations should not be mistaken for fact, and public opinion should never replace due process,” the model told TMZ in a statement, saying that she “unequivocally denies” the accusations and “intends to vigorously defend herself through the legal process.”Starr, who is transgender, also told the entertainment outlet that the case should not be seen as representative of the trans community in general.Starr, who also appeared in “Atlanta Plastic” and “Baddies ATL” allegedly confessed to performing oral sex on a boy at the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Hapeville, Georgia, Sunday morning, according to arrest warrants reviewed by Atlanta News First.TV personality Sidney Starr was arrested on multiple charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a minor.Paras Griffin via Getty ImagesShe told officers the sexual act was consensual, according to the warrants.Inmate records show she was charged with sexual battery with a child under 16, aggravated child molestation, and sodomy. A spokesperson for the Hapeville Police Department told local news station WSB-TV they will not be releasing any additional information on the case because it involves a juvenile.
