Nigerians can now access birth and death registration services and certificates online without having to visit a registration centre first.
The Federal Government, through the National Population Commission (NPC), has launched VitalReg, a digital platform designed to make civil registration services more accessible.
Through the platform, Nigerians can register births and deaths, apply for birth attestation, correct registration records, verify certificates and access other civil registration services.
The digital system is expected to reduce the need for long queues and extensive paperwork associated with some traditional registration processes.
