BSE will acquire 50 crore shares with an investment of ₹50.50 crore from its subsidiaries
BSE, the country’s oldest stock exchange, reported that its net profit in the June quarter was up 62 per cent at ₹873 crore against ₹538 crore logged in the same period last year.Revenue increased 63 per cent to ₹1,566 crore ( ₹958 crore).To hike stake in IIBHThe exchange intends to increase its stake in India International Bullion Holding IFSC by secondary purchase from its subsidiaries India International Exchange and India International Clearing Corporation.BSE will acquire 50 crore shares with an investment of ₹50.50 crore from its subsidiaries. BSE intends to consolidate the shareholding in IIBH directly in BSE, instead of such shareholding being held by its subsidiaries.Upon completion of the present acquisition, BSE’s direct shareholding in IIBH will increase from 3.33 per cent to 20 per cent, and IIBH will consequently become a direct associate company of BSE, it said.The overall transaction charges collected by the exchange increased to ₹1,328 crore (₹737 crore) while income from listing services was down marginally at ₹100 crore (105 crore).The average daily turnover on the exchange was up at ₹9,955 crore ( ₹7,180 crore) with transaction charges of ₹65 crore ( ₹55 crore).The average daily premium turnover was higher at ₹29,615 crore ( ₹15,084 crore). Revenue increased to ₹1,155 crore ( ₹598 crore). BSE Star MF revenue was up 20 per cent at ₹73 crore ( ₹61 crore).Published on August 4, 2026
