Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Tuesday visited Fortis Hospital in Delhi and met passengers who were injured after an Air India flight from Phuket to Delhi encountered severe turbulence.Air India flight AI2379, carrying 137 passengers and eight crew members, experienced a turbulence-related event during its journey on Tuesday, resulting in a sudden change in altitude. The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, but several passengers and crew members sustained injuries.Following the incident, eight passengers and four crew members were admitted to hospitals for treatment. The injured passengers were taken to Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj, where they underwent medical evaluation and treatment.The aircraft has since been moved for inspection as authorities seek to determine the circumstances surrounding the turbulence event. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also initiated a detailed investigation into the incident.Air India said the aircraft landed safely and that it was providing support to the affected passengers and crew members while cooperating with the authorities in the investigation.
