A man in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been found trapped underneath an elevator in a Google data center and has been taken to hospital, according to a report by local media.

The Council Bluffs Fire Department told KETV that the 24-year-old male had sustained serious injuries, and his condition is not known.
DCD has reached out to Google for comment.
The incident happened at Google’s Council Bluffs data center, which has been operational since 2007 and announced expansions in 2012, 2015, 2024, and 2025. Google says it has invested more than $20 billion in the campus since it was opened.
