—Event. “Saborea el Paraíso Sánchez” runs on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 August 2026 at the historic Ruinas del Ferrocarril, in the old port of Sánchez, Samaná province.
—Organizer. The festival is staged by the Dominican Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) under its wider Saborea el Paraíso strategy to promote gastronomy as a tourism pillar.
—Star dish. The two-day programme is built around the camarón de Sánchez (Sánchez shrimp), prized for the flavour it draws from where the Yuna River meets Samaná Bay.
