Bengaluru-based home décor and furnishings marketplace Vaaree has raised ₹65 crore (about $7.4 million) in a Series A funding round led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures, as the company looks to strengthen its technology platform and expand its fulfilment network.Existing investors including Peak XV’s Surge, PeerCapital, All In Capital, Better Capital, OTP Ventures and Kunal Shah also participated in the round previously. The fresh capital will be deployed to expand Vaaree’s fulfilment and quality verification centres, accelerate deliveries, and deepen investments in its artificial intelligence-powered home styling platform, VibeCheck.Founded in 2022 by Garima Vohra and Varun Vohra, Vaaree operates a curated marketplace for home décor and furnishings, offering over 1.5 lakh products across categories such as décor, furnishings, kitchenware, lighting, and bed and bath products.Unlike conventional marketplaces that rely on large product catalogues, Vaaree follows a curated model, partnering with a limited set of manufacturers and brands that meet its quality standards. The company said it works with only about three out of every 100 brands or manufacturers that apply to sell on its platform.A key focus for the company is VibeCheck, its AI-powered styling platform designed to help consumers discover products based on their personal preferences, create mood boards, visualise complete room designs and shop coordinated looks instead of individual products.“The problem in the home category is not a lack of products. It is the lack of confidence customers feel while putting a space together,” said Varun Vohra, co-founder of Vaaree.“Most people know how they want their home to feel, but translating that into the right products is difficult. With VibeCheck, we want to give every Indian access to a personal home stylist that understands their taste, helps them visualise complete spaces and makes every recommendation instantly shoppable. This funding allows us to strengthen both sides of that experience—technology that makes home styling simpler and fulfilment infrastructure that gets those products to customers faster,” he added. The company said it also plans to invest in expanding its fulfilment infrastructure across key markets to improve inventory availability and move towards next-day deliveries in major cities.Commenting on the investment, Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman of Hero Enterprise, said Vaaree is addressing a large and fragmented market through a technology-led platform that combines a curated supply chain with AI-driven product discovery and a strong quality assurance framework. The latest funding comes as startups increasingly tap AI to improve product discovery and customer experience in India’s growing home and lifestyle commerce market.Published on August 4, 2026
