Police said that Krishan Pal Gujjar (65) was allegedly shot by his elder brother, Deep Chand Gujjar, after an argument over the land dispute.MUZAFFARNAGAR: A former director of Uttam Sugar Mills and ex-chairman of a sugarcane society was allegedly shot dead by his elder brother following a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district on Monday evening, news agency PTI reported.The incident took place in Nurnagar village under the Purkazi police station area.Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar told PTI that Krishan Pal Gujjar (65) was allegedly shot by his elder brother, Deep Chand Gujjar, after an argument over the land dispute.Police said Krishan Pal was at home when Deep Chand allegedly arrived there and opened fire following a heated exchange. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.A case has been registered against Deep Chand, a former village head, and his son Anshul in connection with the incident. Both have been arrested, the SSP said, according to PTI.The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, police said.(With agency inputs)
