MANILA, Philippines — Former Department of Public Works and Highways chief Manuel Bonoan will testify against Sen. Bong Revilla in the Sandiganbayan Third Division on August 12.
Ombudsman’s Deputy Special Prosecutor Omar Sagadal on Tuesday asked the court to issue a subpoena ad testificandum for Bonoan.
Associate Justice Ronald Moreno granted the request of the prosecution to make Bonoan testify.
Sagadal’s manifestation was made after state witness former DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo took the witness stand in the trial of malversation of public funds case against Revilla for allegedly asking a 25-percent kickback to an alleged ghost project in Pandi, Bulacan worth P92.8 million.
