The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested five suspects in separate operations over alleged burglary and possession of suspected cannabis, recovering stolen household items and other valuables.
The command said operatives of its Violent Crime Response Unit made the arrests during routine patrols across the Bauchi metropolis.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, the first operation was carried out on August 3, 2026, at about 2:00 p.m. in Doya Quarters, Bauchi.
Habib said, “On August 3, 2026, at about 1400hrs, a VCRU patrol team, while on routine patrol at Doya Quarters, Bauchi, acting on reasonable suspicion, intercepted a tricycle (Keke NAPEP) with registration number TRR123VD conveying three occupants.”
