Kristina Kasparian and Jeremy Cohen tried to have a baby for 11 years.
Unable to conceive, the Montreal couple chose to sign up with Canadian Fertility Consulting Ltd., a leading surrogacy agency based in Ontario. They chose an egg donor, made embryos and paid CFC tens of thousands of dollars in fees for consulting and to match them with a surrogate. They were paired with a woman who had delivered babies for two previous sets of parents.
