The Ford Ranger Super Duty is coming to South Africa with heavy-duty upgrades, a 4,500kg GVM rating and a price tag to match.

The first-ever Ford Ranger Super Duty is essentially a “heavy-duty” version of the Blue Oval’s popular one-tonne bakkie, and it’s coming to South Africa in 2027.

Ahead of its launch next year, Ford South Africa has released the initial range details and indicative pricing for the new model.

The Ford Ranger Super Duty will be available in Single Chassis Cab, Super Chassis Cab, Double Cab Chassis Cab and regular Double Cab formats, with the four variants being introduced in a phased approach.

Single Cab models are expected to start around the R1.1 million mark, with Double Cabs kicking off at approximately R1.3 million.
