Apple briefly removed the Telegram messaging app from its App Store worldwide after child sexual abuse material (CSAM) shared by a user was discovered.
The app was restored the same day after Telegram removed the offending content and permanently banned the account responsible.
According to Bloomberg, Apple's review team detected the illegal material on Monday night and immediately removed Telegram from the App Store, making it unavailable for new downloads.
Telegram responded within 40 minutes by deleting the content and banning the user, prompting Apple to restore the app.
