PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur—Former Zamboanga del Norte Rep. Romeo “Nonong” Garcia Jalosjos Sr. (1st District) died on Sunday at the age of 85.
Seth Frederick Pal Jalosjos, also a former lawmaker of the same district as well as former Dapitan City mayor, announced his father’s passing on social media on Sunday night, describing him as a “distinguished media man, statesman, visionary, and pioneer, who dedicated his life to serving others with courage, compassion, and purpose.”
‘Touched countless lives’
His family also remembered Jalosjos as a leader “who listened, a champion of the underserved, and a father to his people.”
