This innovative software significantly accelerates investigations, reducing the time to obtain crucial CCTV footage from up to 28 days to mere minutes. Major retail chains, including Tesco, Boots, Marks & Spencer and Greggs, have already adopted the system, highlighting growing concerns over retail crime. The Met reports that the new system has led to a caution, charge or other criminal disposal in 29.4 per cent of cases, a substantial increase from the 7.3 per cent average before its introduction. Currently trialled in six boroughs, the force is expanding the platform to retailers in an additional eight London boroughs from Tuesday.
