Canada has highlighted five permanent residency pathways available to medical doctors seeking to relocate and practise in the country.
It offered multiple immigration options based on applicants’ qualifications, language proficiency and preferred destination.
The update was announced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in a post on its X and website on Monday.
According to the immigration agency, physicians can apply through the Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program, Atlantic Immigration Program, Rural Community Immigration Pilot and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot.
Under the Express Entry system, doctors can compete for permanent residency through Canada’s points-based selection process, which assesses candidates using the Comprehensive Ranking System based on age, education, work experience and language ability.
