Aug. 3 (UPI) -- The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a record high on Monday, buoyed up by rising tech stocks and falling oil prices.
The Dow closed at 53,178.41, jumping 693.38 points, or 1.32%.
Amazon stock rose by more than 4% to a record $3 trillion market capitalization. Also on the rise were Meta Platforms at 6% and Nvidia at 3%, as well as Alphabet and Microsoft at 5% each.
