Cardinals: A-Both May and Romero are heading to free agency this offseason. Neither is a massive difference-maker, but both should help stabilize things in Milwaukee. May throws pretty hard but also gets hit pretty hard. He’s not the No. 2 starter the Brewers would like to pair with Jacob Misiorowski at the top of the rotation, but he’s a good back-end starter who should give quality innings. Romero is a solid bullpen lefty. They’ll help.In return for two rentals, the Cardinals landed a couple of outfielders with legitimate upside. Ragsdale is a good defender who has put up excellent offensive numbers while reaching Double A this season. Frias is farther from the big leagues but with perhaps more upside. He started this season with absurd numbers in rookie ball (1.196 OPS) before coming back to earth, following a promotion to Class A.
