Anti-drone defenses are being built around Kharkiv; the first 7 million hryvnias for this project were allocated from the regional budget.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, announced this on television, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“We are building around the city of Kharkiv (the so-called anti-drone perimeter—ed.) to the north, northeast, and northwest. We are implementing this project on a trial basis at one of the facilities. We cannot disclose any details at this time,” Syniehubov said.
According to him, the project to protect against FPV drones is being funded from the regional budget.
“The first 7 million hryvnias out of 30—which is exactly how much the first phase will cost—have already been allocated from the regional budget to create the first line of defense. It will be aimed at countering drones using fiber-optic cables,” said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
