A 32-year-old woman teacher was stabbed to death allegedly by a stalker inside a private school in Faridabad on Monday morning. The police arrested the accused, identified as Amit, 21, a resident of Kot village, within two hours of the incident.
According to the police and eyewitnesses, Mr. Amit entered the school in Sikrauna village wearing a mask around 10 a.m. and made his way directly to the staff room. He spoke to the teacher for a few seconds before pulling out a knife and launching a sudden attack on her.
Hearing her screams, other staff members rushed to the spot and attempted to intervene. The assailant, however, managed to flee the premises. The injured teacher was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The police said the victim sustained multiple deep wounds to the neck, chest and face.
A case was registered at the Sector 58 police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the deceased’s husband, Vikas.
