More than 2.1 million people across Finland are due to receive tax refunds on Monday as the Finnish Tax Administration carries out the largest refund payment round of the year. The authority is paying a total of €1.1 billion into taxpayers' accounts, while hundreds of thousands of others face deadlines to settle outstanding tax bills.
The Finnish Tax Administration has begun distributing €1.1 billion in tax refunds to more than 2.1 million taxpayers in what marks the biggest refund day of the year by the number of recipients.
The payments are scheduled throughout Monday rather than at a single time. Officials said taxpayers whose refunds do not appear in their bank accounts during the morning should wait and check again later in the day.
