Alex Cooper is used to internet trolls ― but now, they’re coming after her pregnancy. The “Call Her Daddy” podcaster, who shared in May that she was expecting her first child, opened up about the one thing all of her new internet haters have in common. Cooper shared one of the hurtful DMs she got, which said, “Don’t complain about being pregnant. Your choice. Pregnancy can be hard.” “Just wanted to share all the dms I get like this...are from men lol,” the 31-year-old wrote on her Instagram stories. “‘Pregnancy can be hard’ oh Chris tell me about your pregnancy I would love to hear babe!” she joked. Cooper is clapping back at the men in her DMs. Alex CooperCooper, who married her husband, Matt Kaplan, in April 2024, announced via Instagram that the two were expecting. “Our family,” the Unwell Network producer wrote at the time. Cooper’s pregnancy hasn’t been without its challenges. The former student-athlete told her followers last week that she was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, commonly called GD.GD is a form of diabetes that can affect both the baby’s health and the pregnancy as a whole due to increased high blood sugar, according to the Mayo Clinic. “When I got this diagnosis, the first couple days, I was really hard on myself, and it felt very isolating. As much as my family and my husband and everyone was there for me, I just felt like it’s me on an island,” Cooper said of the “upsetting” diagnosis.Cooper explained that while she’s emotional, she’s also very “blessed” to be pregnant. “Obviously my first instinct was just like, ‘Oh my god ― I want my child to be OK and I want my baby to be healthy,’” she said. “I’ll do whatever it takes.” RelatedPregnancycall her daddyAlex Cooper
