Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine will significantly expand joint defense production of Western weapons needed by the country.
According to Ukrinform, the president announced this on Facebook following a briefing by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa.
"Work continues to localize in Ukraine the types of Western weapons we need. This area will be expanded significantly. I will not provide details for now, but I thank our partners in Europe for their readiness to support our resilience over the long term in precisely this way – through localization and joint defense production," Zelensky said.
