Visa Inc.

(NYSE:V) announced Monday that it has agreed to acquire fraud prevention company BioCatch for $2.4 billion in cash, strengthening its artificial intelligence-powered cybersecurity and fraud detection capabilities.

The acquisition will add BioCatch's behavioral intelligence technology to Visa's existing security, fraud and risk management offerings.

The company said the deal will help financial institutions detect scams, account takeovers, money mule activity and application fraud before payments are made.

Visa reported $13.9 billion in combined cash, cash equivalents, and investment securities as of June 30, 2026.
