Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi has outlined clear tasks for Ukraine's diplomatic corps, with the main goal of turning international decisions into tangible contracts, securing funding and protecting the economy.
According to Ukrinform, the prime minister said this during a meeting of Ukraine's ambassadors.
"The first and unconditional priority is, of course, defense, adequate support for and development of our defense industry. Our task is to turn these decisions into contracts, production and deliveries as quickly as possible," Koretskyi said.
He reminded the participants of the agreements reached in Ankara on international partners' financial support for Ukraine this year and called on them to continue efforts to maintain the level of this support for the next period. He also urged them to keep the entire decision-making chain in their host countries under close watch and prevent possible delays in arms deliveries.
"The second strategic priority is Ukraine's fastest possible progress toward EU membership. I can firmly guarantee that both I and the government are committed to this path. We will continue what previous governments started, because a lot has already been done. We will take the best of it and strengthen it," Koretskyi said.
