‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ grossed N120.4 million from advance screenings on 29th and 30th July, setting a new preview record in the Nigerian box office, according to Comscore data released by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN).

It is poised to break the opening-weekend gross of the Nigerian box office, as experts are predicting N400-N600 million during that period. According to the Nigerian Box Office on X, ” Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is on course to rewrite the West African box office record books.

It’s set to break virtually every single-day gross record, including those traditionally dominated by Boxing Day, the biggest moviegoing day of the year. Comscore figures show the film earned N51.5 million on its Wednesday preview before adding N68 million on Thursday, taking its flash total to N120.4 million.

Comscore data reports that ‘The Odyssey’ by Christopher Nolan grossed N208.8 million in its second week to reach a cumulative N425 million, while Moana earned N23.6 million in its third week, bringing its total to N96.2 million.
