COTABATO CITY – Despite the enforcement of an election gun ban in preparation for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections on September 14, a man was shot dead in broad daylight on Monday in Maguindanao del Norte.
Police said the shooting occurred in Sitio Tuka, Barangay Taviran in Datu Odin Sinsuat town at around 10 a.m.

The victim, John Salik, 49, a resident of Barangay Dadtumeg, Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte, was driving his motorbike when attacked by the suspects on board another motorbike.
